Aftercare Tips

Initial Care

Upon application, the ink is wet and susceptible to smudging. Avoid contact with the jagua ink as much as possible. Do not bathe or exercise for at least 6-8 hours to avoid smudging. The tattoo will be water-resistant after the stain has developed. Avoid applying before sleep and wear loose clothing on Day 1 to prevent jagua ink from smudging or staining other body parts.

Removal Options

If needed, freshly applied ink can be removed using alcohol wipes within the first few minutes of application. Remove the ink completely as it will continue to stain the skin the longer it remains. Once the stain has developed, it will be difficult to remove intentionally. After 4-7 days, simple exfoliation of the skin regularly can enable the stain to fade faster than usual.

Durability Factors

Actual durability can vary slightly depending on individual skin types and application of tattoo on different body parts. Areas with thicker skin tend to hold the stain longer, while areas with frequent washing or friction may fade faster.

Enhancing Your Tattoo

For optimal appearance and longevity, keep the area moisturized after the initial development period. Avoid harsh soaps or exfoliants on the tattoo area if you want to maintain the design longer. Applying a thin layer of natural oil (like coconut oil) can enhance the appearance and may extend the life of your temporary tattoo.
